Lexus LFA review

Lexus LFA

It has to be said that the Lexus LFA is one of the best looking super cars in todays market, with its  extraordinary design, sleek lines and curves. The LFA really doesn't look anything like any other car out there. While the LFA has a some what sophisticated look all components are beneficial to optimise performance, whether it be the gaping cooling vents in front of the rear wheels, in order to keep brake temperature optimised, or the wide open mouth looking grill at the front to direct air into the engine. Everything has been made for a specific job in order to give this car the performance to stay in par with other super cars on the market.

With its 4.8litre V10 Dual VVT-i engine, the beauty of this car wasn't the only thing Lexus spent a whole 10 years developing. The V10 pushes out 412kW of power with 480 Nm of torque to compliment the 0 - 100km/h time of 3.7seconds and a top speed of 325km/h. This is a serious piece of engineering, with a specially design exhaust with help from yamaha (music) the exhaust note is the closest thing to a Formula one car, also due to the high revving nature of the engine which revs out at 9000rpm (this car really sings). The LFA has a rear-mounted six-speed automated sequential transmission, which allows for lightening fast gear changes.

The LFA's interior has been designed to keep luxury to the highest possible standard while also making the whole cockpit of the car ergonomically design so that the driver have complete control of the car. The cockpit of the car has been designed to keep passengers closet to the centre of the car as possible in order to the car balanced and the weight evenly distributed. The engine bay was designed to allow a specific amount of intake and exhaust noise to give the best possible driving experience.
The Lexus LFA is on hell of an engineering marvel, but the price tag of this beast is also astonishing, although its not on the same page as a bugatti veyron, or a zonda R this LFA will still set you back a hefty $700,000 (AUS, manufacturer's list price) though Lexus claim they will be the ones loosing on the car. Exclusivity when it comes to super cars is something all buyers want and the LFA is very exclusive with only 500 being made world wide.
